Posting Images with Captions in the Page Builder

Hey Sitemasoners!

Although this is covered in the Page Builder Tutorial, we field questions on this every now and then and thought it best to go ahead and give this its own document.

We do have a photo gallery tool that gives you LOTS of freedom when it comes to posting pictures and editing the way in which they are presented. But every now and then it's nice to see a picture here and there in the content of a page builder. You can do this with the Insert Image tool in the editor (also covered in the tutorial). However, that does not allow you to also place a caption above or underneath the picture.

GOOD NEWS! Inserting a table does! You would simply create a table using the insert table tool in the editor with two rows and one column. This allows the picture to go into one of the rows and the caption to go into the other.

Like so:

NOTE: The caption section in the table properties is actually for giving the table itself a caption. To give your picture a caption, you just place the text in the row opposite your image.

The table will adjust to the picture size when you place the picture in one of the rows.

Enjoy and Happy Sitemason-ing!
